Wednesday 7th July Skittles Night

Around 70% of households in Furzehill, Grange and Smuggler's Lane braved the elements on one of the wettest evenings this year to take part in a community skittles night.  This must be a record turnout for a local event.  Nearly 60 people took part ranging in age from around 10 to 70+.  Everybody joined in bringing contributions to a finger buffet which provided a superb buffet.

Organised by Keith Baker, teams were selected to deliberately include a cross section of the community by both age and location and each team playing two rounds.  The eventual winners reached an enviable score of 60 by what must have been devious tactics!

Congratulations to Hannah Baker, Tony Habgood, Jill Isaacs, George Steele, George Gray and Sue Allman.
